1. What are the OpenSky Wörthersee Lodges?
The OpenSky Wörthersee Lodges are your retreat on Lake Wörthersee. Our ten modern holiday homes are situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of Pörtschach – surrounded by nature yet very close to the lake. Enjoy plenty of privacy, modern design, and a relaxed atmosphere. Each lodge features a cozy terrace with a small garden or flowerbed and a spacious roof terrace where you can soak up the sun or unwind in the evening.
2. How many people can the lodges accommodate?
Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway for two, a family vacation, or a holiday with friends – you'll find the perfect lodge with us. Depending on the individual lodge, our lodges can accommodate two to six people.
3. What amenities do the lodges offer?
We want you to feel at home in our lodges from the very first moment. That's why all of them are modern and furnished to a high standard. You can expect a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living area, comfortable bedrooms, free Wi-Fi, a private terrace, and a spacious rooftop terrace where you can relax.
4. Is there a fully equipped kitchen?
Yes – every lodge has a modern kitchen with everything you need for your holiday – including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, and coffee machine. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast or a leisurely dinner together, you can tailor your holiday to your liking.
5. Is there free Wi-Fi?
Free Wi-Fi is available in all our lodges. Whether you want to send holiday photos, plan your excursions, or get some work done – you'll always be perfectly connected.
6. Can we work from there?
Of course. The lodges have free fiber optic internet.
7. Are dogs allowed?
Yes – dogs are allowed in selected lodges. Simply let keyone know when booking, and we'll find the perfect accommodation for you.
8. Are there free parking spaces?
Yes – each lodge has a free parking space available directly on our grounds. If you are arriving with multiple cars, please check with keyone to see if another parking space happens to be available and be considerate of the other guests.
9. Can we charge our electric car?
Yes – there are EV charging stations right next to the lodges. Please actively end the charging process when your car is fully charged; otherwise, parking fees will apply. Unfortunately, we have no control over this.
10. Is there a washing machine and a dryer?
Yes – a washing machine and dryer are available for your free use in the reception area. You can easily access them with your key.
11. Are the houses accessible for people with disabilities?
Due to the hillside location, the holiday resort is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
12. Is there a pool?
No – we recommend you go swimming in the beautiful Wörthersee. The nearest public bathing area is only a 4-minute drive away.
13. Are the lodges suitable for families?
Yes – our lodges are ideal for families. Behind the lodge, a wooded area with a stream awaits exploration. The bunk beds have safety rails to prevent falls. Baby cots and highchairs are available upon request through keyone.
About the Check-in / Check-out
14. From what time can we check in and by what time should we check out?
You can check into your lodge from 4:00 PM onwards. On your departure day, we kindly ask you to vacate the lodge by 10:00 AM so that we can lovingly prepare it for the next guests.
15. How does check-in work?
The key is located in a key box at the reception of the complex. You will receive the code for the key box in advance from keyone via email.
16. Can we check in contactlessly?
Yes – check-in is contactless using key boxes. You will receive the code for the key box from keyone via email in advance.
17. How do I get to the OpenSky Wörthersee Lodges?
Our lodges are easily accessible by car, train, or plane. Töschling train station is only about a 2-minute drive or a 15-minute walk away. Klagenfurt Airport is approximately a 20-minute drive.
18. Do we need to bring our own bed linen and towels?
No – bed linen and towels are included in the OpenSky Wörthersee Lodges and everything will be ready for you upon arrival. Should you require fresh bed linen and towels during your stay, you can order them from keyone or quickly wash them yourself free of charge in the reception area.
19. Is someone available on site?
Keyone's staff are always available by phone and will take care of your requests as quickly as possible.
20. Is final cleaning included in the price?
Yes – final cleaning is already included in the price. So you can expect a sparkling clean holiday home upon arrival and enjoy your holiday until the very last moment.

About the Area
21. Where are the OpenSky Wörthersee Lodges located?
Our lodges are situated in a peaceful location in Pörtschach am Wörthersee – nestled between meadows and forests. From here, you can reach the lake, the promenade, or the town center in just a few minutes. Many cycling and hiking trails also start right at our doorstep.
22. How far is it to Lake Wörthersee?
Lake Wörthersee is very close. You can reach it by bike in about five to ten minutes. You can also quickly get to the water by car or on foot and spend a relaxing day by the lake.
23. What can we do around the lodges?
Your holiday begins right on our doorstep. Whether swimming in Lake Wörthersee, cycling, golfing, hiking, or simply enjoying nature – the possibilities are virtually endless in every season. Excursions to Klagenfurt or Velden, as well as numerous events around Lake Wörthersee, ensure a varied and enjoyable holiday.
24. Where can we go for breakfast?
If you'd like to have breakfast out, we recommend one of the cafés in Pörtschach. Our favorite bakery is Wienerroither.
25. Where can we go to eat?
We highly recommend the Hotel-Restaurant Thadeushof, just 300 meters from the lodges. The restaurant offers top-quality regional and seasonal cuisine. You'll also find numerous good restaurants in the center of Pörtschach, and several traditional wine taverns (Buschenschank) in the surrounding countryside.
26. Can we go grocery shopping nearby?
If you need anything or would like to buy fresh groceries for breakfast: A BILLA supermarket is only about a 4-minute drive from the lodges. There you will find everything for your daily needs – even on Sundays during peak season.
27. Which hikes start directly at the lodges?
You can start hiking and cycling right from our doorstep. Numerous cycling, hiking, and walking trails await you around the OpenSky Wörthersee Lodges, leading through forests, across meadows, and to magnificent viewpoints. The paths to the Hohe Gloriette, the Forstsee lake, or along the Wörthersee circular hiking trail are particularly popular.
